Tasty Steak Burger
Spring is in the air and so is grilling season! That is to say, the outdoor grill is more than just a grill. It represents family, gatherings, and summer celebrations. Who doesn’t love to get together for a backyard BBQ? Grilling season is a great time to gather with your family and/or friends and to hang out on the patio enjoying your favorite beverage and food! No matter what your fancy is to grill my Tasty Steak Burger will be sure to please all of your burger audience!
Compliment this burger with your favorite condiments!
Here are a few of my favs:
- Grilled Red onion
- Homemade pickles (or your favorite store bought will do)
- Bourbon Onion Bacon Jam (recipe to follow)
- Melted Brie Cheese
- Zest it up with some spicy Habanero cheese like this recipe
- Spicy mayo or your favorite sauces too.
When I think about burgers, the possibilities are endless. First, I always buy top quality beef. I try to stick with a good grass fed organic 80/20 blend to produce a satisfying juicy burger every time. Second, Condiments and spice and turn your burger into a new version every time you make them. Everything from Mexican, Greek, Italian can be delicious with just a few tweaks to your spice mix and condiments.
This burger is my go to burger patty for a quick weeknight or weekend meal when I want that good grilled flavor. If the weather isn’t good, you can use a cast iron skillet to give the beef a nice crust.
Happy grilling season everyone and I hope you love this recipe.Print
- 1.35 pounds Organic Kirkland 80/20 ground beef package
- 2 tsp AP Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp Buc-ees Steak & Chop Rub
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 slices Habanero pepperjack cheese
- 1 Gluten Free Schar Hamburger bun
- everything spice
- Tomato, lettuce, onion pickle for garnish
In a glass bowl add the beef and loosen with a fork.
Add all the spices and Worcestershire sauce.
Mix beef thoroughly till beef is fluffy and not packed. I use a spoon to stir and not my hands so I don’t over pack the beef mix.
Form into 4 individual patties but avoid over pressing the meat. The more to compact the meat the tougher it will be.
Grill to your desired liking or sear in a cast iron skillet.
For the bun:
slice bun in half and brush with a little olive oil on the cut sides and top of the bun.
Sprinkle with everything spice or sesame seeds or dried onions. Bake in the oven or grill until golden brown.
Top with your favorite cheese and condiments
You can use any type of bun for this recipe including your favorite gluten free bun if you have a sensitivity to gluten.
